Indications

BIOPLASGEN/BIOCOMBINATION 14 Indications: Sneezing and thin discharge from nose eyes watery and fever. A help in all stages of the disease. It is an acute infectious disease characterised by rash and catarrh of the air passage. a) Cause is attributed to the virus (Morbilli) which is spread by droplet infection. The onset is abrupt and resembles a severe cold in the head. The disease is more infective at this stage compared to later stage where eruptions are visible. Pyrexia, cough, sneezing, nasal discharge with redness of eyes and photophobia are present. On the second or third day bronchitis sets in and other symptoms become serious. Sometimes hoarseness of voice due to laryngitis may be present. Bioplasgen/Biocombination 14 claims and reduces the complications. b) Koplik spots are seen during catarrhal stage. They consist of minute bluish white spots resembling grains of salt surrounded by an area of redness. They are evident on mucous membranes of mouth. They disappear as the disease progress and rashes on skin appear. If detected, Bioplasgen/Biocombination 14 can be started at this stage. c) Rashes appear on the fouth day on forehead, temples and behind the ear and spreads quickly over face, body and limbs. It consists of slightly raised dusky red spots termed as macules. The macules diffuse with each other and form blotchy billiform rash. In three to four days, they subside leaving stained skin and sometimes fine pawdery desquamation. Maximum temperature is during rash and remains high for a day or two and subsides to normal in a week provided no complication gets involved. Bioplasgen/Biocombination lowers the severity and the phase is passed off calmly. d) Normal complications met with are bronchitis or broncho-pneumonia, laryngitis, otitis media, stomatitis, cancrum oris and conjunctivitis and they should be separately taken care of along with the administration of Bioplasgen/Biocombination 14 Incubation period: 10 - 14 days (limit 7-21 days) Pre-requisites in management of measles: A well  ventilated room, room temperature around 65 F, avoidance of bright light, use of ALPHA-COFF cough syrup helps. Cleanliness should be given high priority thus eliminating chances for spread of the infection. Bed rest and a light diet are suggested. Prophylaxis: It is available and the physician should be consulted on the subject. Seroprevention or modification should be viewed in the context that measles is prevalent worldwide and therefore the patient should acquire permanent immunity by suffering a controlled attack eliminating or controlling within comfortable limits the complications. Composition: Ferrum phosphoricum 3x, Kalium muriaticum 3x and Kalium sulphuricum 3x in equal proportion. Proven indications of the ingredients within the claimed sphere of action: Ferrum phosphoricum: It is indicated for catarrhal febrile stage of the disease and it prevents or lowers the possibility of bronchitis. It lowers congestion, cough, fever, and soreness of the throat, ears and eyes. It lower inflammation, and fever, improves hemoglobin and gives a feeling of well-being. Kalium muriaticum: It is indicated for acute and spasmodic cough, hoarseness, rattling in air passes if present, aphthae and ulcers. It is especially useful in skin rashes of the types met in measles. It improves digestive function during the disease. Kalium sulphuricum: It is useful second stage and the stage of healing. It lowers the chances of complications. It is helpful in cough, rattling chest, fevers, skin rashes, desquamation. Itching and rashes are kept within control and the process of healing become faster. Contra-indication: Nil. It can be used along with other medicines & ALPHA-COFF cough syrup. It has no side effects. Dosage: Adults 4 tablets, children 2 tablets, at a time, four times a day at intervals of three hours. Presentation: Tablets of 100 mg in bottles of 20g.
