Justicia adhatoda , commonly known as Malabar Nut or Adulsa, is a homoeopathic medicine derived from the leaves of the Justicia adhatoda plant. Belonging to the Acanthaceae family, it has been traditionally valued for its therapeutic properties in treating respiratory disorders and fever. In homoeopathy, Justicia adhatoda is primarily used to address symptoms such as cough, bronchial rattle, and respiratory infections. It is also employed for its effects on fever, nasal congestion, and asthma like symptoms. Common Names:  Singhee,  Malabar Nut SBL's Justicia adhatoda can be helpful in the following conditions: Acute Catarrh Particularly useful for the early stages of acute catarrhal conditions affecting the respiratory tract. Headache A feeling of heat, fullness, and heaviness in the head. Lachrymation and Coryza Profuse, acrid and fluent nasal discharge with constant sneezing. Loss of Smell and Taste The sense of smell and taste may be diminished or lost due to the nasal discharge. Dryness and Pain in throat  The mucous membrane is dry and there is pain during swallowing, even when the throat is empty. Presence of thick, sticky mucus in the throat. A notable dryness of the mouth. Dry Cough Dry cough originating from the sternal region and spreading throughout the chest. Hoarseness and pain in the larynx. Episodes of cough that can cause suffocative obstruction of breathing. Cough with Sneezing. Severe difficulty in breathing associated with coughing. Effective in treating whooping cough.
