These springs, flowing into the Achen valley—an area known for the prevalence of goître and cretinism—inspired the name "Lapis albus" (White Stone). Lapis albus is known for its strong action on the glands, lymphatic system, and connective tissues, making it especially useful in conditions like tumors, glandular swellings, fibromas, goître, scrofula, and early-stage cancers. It is well-suited for scrofulous constitutions, with an affinity for chronic glandular enlargements, uterine affections, and degenerative tissue changes.
