Mercurius vivus is a deep-acting  homoeopathic medicine  derived from  pure elemental mercury , potentized for safe therapeutic use. It is particularly indicated in conditions involving  glandular swellings ,  profuse secretions , and  bone or mouth diseases . The patient often shows signs of  great weakness ,  trembling , and  offensive discharges , with a marked  aggravation at night  and in  damp weather . Mercurius vivus is suited to individuals with  lax skin and muscles , often  light-haired , and those who experience  persistent or recurring infections , especially involving the  mucous membranes ,  gastrointestinal tract , and  respiratory system . Common Names: English:  Quicksilver SBL’s Mercurius vivus can be helpful in the following conditions: • Glandular and Bone Affections Mercurius vivus helps in  bone pains worse at night ,  cold swellings , and  abscesses slow to suppurate . Assists  glandular swellings , especially with excessive or offensive pus formation. Weakness and trembling  from slightest exertion. • Skin and Sweat Disorders Profuse perspiration  accompanies most complaints but does not relieve; may worsen discomfort. Skin and breath have a  foul odor . Abscesses or cuts may become slow to heal. • ENT and Nasal Conditions Acrid, corrosive coryza  with raw, ulcerated nostrils. Yellow-green, fetid nasal discharge ; worsens at night and in damp weather. Swelling of nasal bones , indicating deep-seated infection. • Mouth and Dental Issues Profuse, stringy, metallic-tasting saliva ; excessive salivation (ptyalism). Ulcers in the mouth , gums, and tongue—dirty, irregular, with lardaceous base and dark borders. Toothache : Tearing pain worse from temperature extremes, damp air, and night; relieved by rubbing. Allow 15 minutes gap between two homoeopathic medicines, 30 mins gap between Homoeopathic medicines and food, or one hour gap between Homoeopathic medicines or another system of medicines.
