Introduction Spine related problems are increasing day by day due to prolonged sitting, lack of exercise, wrong posture, etc. Its occurrence is linked with lifestyle, age and gene. Common problems that occur in the spine and back regions include cervical spondylitis, lumber spondylitis, general lower back pain or lumbago, stiff neck, etc. Spondylitis is a general term for inflammation of vertebrae. If inflammation is in more than one vertebral joint, it is known as spondyloarthritis. This inflammation could be spondylitis of the neck (cervical spondylitis) or the lower back (lumber spondylitis). Ankylosing spondylitis is an auntoimmune disorder of genetic origin which primarily affects the spine. Spondylosis, another condition of spine, is a degenerative disorder. Sciatica is a condition with pain originated from the spine and radiating down the back of the leg due to compression on sciatic nerve resulting from injury, herniated disc, bone spur, etc. Pain in spine & surrounding regions can be with or without pathological changes. Such pathological changes may include degeneration of vertebrae, overgrowth of bone, disc herniation and bulging discs. These changes cause pressure in the spinal nerves which further lead to inflammation and pain. At times muscle stiffness, soreness, injury may also lead to pain in the spine & surrounding regions. Rhus toxicodendron: Indicated for tearing pains in tendons and ligaments with irresistible desire to move or change the position, followed by relief for a short time; when they move again the same relief follows, which is for a short time. Symptoms are worse from exertion, after fatigue, from getting wet and cold. Ruta graveolens: Spine and limbs feel bruised. Pain and stiffness in wrists and hands. Sciatica; worse, lying down at night; pain from back down hips and thighs. Pain in lumbar vertebrae as if bruised. Backache better by lying on back. Symphytum officinale: It is considered as the orthopedic specific remedy which helps in reunion of fractured bone. Pain in back from a fall. Neuralgia of knee. It is indicated in caries of spinal and other bones. Dosage: Unless otherwise prescribed by the physician, in acute episodes of pains (as SOS) 10-20 drops every hour which should be gradually reduced to 10-20 drops 2-3 times a day. In chronic cases, the therapy should be continued for a prolonged period of time. If complaints are not relieved, consult a specialist. Note: The product contains alcohol.
