Indications

Caltha palustris is a valuable and emerging homoeopathic medicine derived from the fresh shoots and flowers of Caltha Palustris , a plant belonging to the Ranunculaceæ family. Although not yet fully proven, it shares the strong irritant properties characteristic of this botanical group. It exhibits pronounced effects on the skin, mucous membranes, urinary system, and female reproductive organs. Its clinical relevance is especially noted in severe skin eruptions like pemphigus, inflammatory uterine conditions including cancer, and generalized dropsical (edematous) states. Common Name:  Marsh Marigold SBL’s Caltha palustris can be helpful in the following conditions: Skin and Mucousal Irritation Indicated in pemphigus with itching vesicles and bullæ distinctly surrounded by a ring ; crust formation by the third day. Relieves itching eruptions on the thighs and face , often accompanied by swelling , especially around the eyes . Useful in pustular eruptions and skin irritation due to its dermal detoxifying action. Uterine Cancer Notable utility in uterine cancer , with encouraging results. Can help in relieving pelvic discomfort , swelling, and ulcerative states related to malignancies.
