Indications

It is indicated in chronic affections of muscular tissues, periosteum, and synovial membranes of joints. Stomach: Dryness of mouth with burning of tongue and gums and toothache. Nausea from smell of food causes fainting with profuse salivation. Regurgitation with vomiting of mucus, bile and food with coldness in stomach. Increased thirst for stimulants with burning or icy coldness in stomach and abdomen. Abdomen: Flatulence of abdomen with gas and rumbling in the bowels. Liver affections with collection of fluid in the abdominal cavity. Distension of lower bowels with fullness and continuous rumbling. Stool: Dysentery with painful, scanty, transparent, jelly-like mucus with prolapsed of rectum. Ineffectual urges with tenesmus at rectum. Heart: Sensation of constriction and oppression of chest with anxiety and palpitations in region of heart. Weak pulse with severe pain, oppression and dyspnea. Inflammation and hypertrophy of heart with pulse of low tension. Extremities: Weakness, lameness and tearing pains in the limbs with oedematous swelling and coldness of legs and feet. Numbness with feeling like pins and needles in hands, wrists and fingertips. Pain in front of arms and thigh. Weakened reflexes with stiffness and tingling in the joints. Shifting pains in the joints with inflammations which are worse at night. Swelling of great toe, gout in heel which is very sensitive. Inflammation of knees with difficulty in walking due to scraping of knees. Modalities: Worse from sundown to sunrise, motion, loss of sleep, smell of food in the evening and mental exertion.
