Lachnanthes tinctoria is a unique homoeopathic medicine prepared from the whole fresh plant of Lachnanthes tinctoria of Haemodoraceae family, with marked affinity for the head, neck, chest, and circulatory system . It is especially suited for individuals of light complexion and those in the early or established stages of chest affections , including tuberculosis . The medicine is characterized by coldness , pain and stiffness in the neck , and a distinctive sensation at the bridge of the nose , as if pinched. Its use extends to rheumatic conditions of the cervical spine and is particularly noted for its impact on speech fluency , often giving rise to a desire to talk and articulate ideas freely . Common Name English: Spirit-weed SBL’s Lachnanthes tinctoria can be helpful in the following conditions: Headache and Facial Heat • Indicated in right-sided headaches extending to the jaw , often with a sensation of head enlargement . • Scalp sensitivity , with the feeling as though the hair is standing on end . • Circumscribed red cheeks , especially with facial heat and scalp soreness. • Associated with mental restlessness , sleeplessness , and a desire to speak or engage in public speaking , often with newfound courage and fluency .
